Safety Management AS/NZS 4801
Morton & Morton strives to adopt best practice in safety and health consistent with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2001. Our principles include
a commitment to operate to the highest standards of safety and health, recognising that nothing is so urgent or important as to preclude safety.
Our strategy for meeting our commitments and for achieving our vision is to have in place:
- Use of equipment and materials that are designed and maintained fit for their purpose
- Well communicated principles, policies and methodologies that promote continuous performance improvement through leadership and the instilment of a sense of personal responsibility
- A management system which prescribes work practices that ensure the integrity of equipment, materials and people-based control measures is sustained.
Morton & Morton’s policy development rationale asserts that SAFETY is a line management responsibility and accountability for OH&S compliance is embedded at
all stages of the line. We take a consistent risk-based approach to OH&S management and allocate resources prioritised on the basis of risk.
In accordance with the OH&S Act, we are dedicated to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. As part of this undertaking we issue each new site employee with an Occupational Health & Safety Manual providing direction on how the company complies with statutory obligations and fulfils its OH & S policy.
